Diesel Truck Mechanic: Hiring Now - posted 2/6/2024
- Must be proficient in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, braking systems, emissions and diesel systems on a variety of both trucks, trailers and heavy equipment. Selected Candidate must be able to diagnose problems and fix accordingly. Position also includes cleaning, maintaining, disassembly, assembly and other misc. tasks required for fleet maintenance.
- Applicant must be a self starter and be able to work with minimal supervision, have good attendance, positive attitude and punctuality. This position requires you to have your own tools. Basic welding/fabricating skills a must. Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Chauffer's license or higher (CDL preferred) within 6 months of hire.
- Prefer 3 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic but willing to consider those just starting out with a degree or certificate in an associated field (Diesel Tech, Heavy Equipment Tech, Heavy Equipment Service Tech, etc.)

The yard attendant position is a multi-faceted, fast paced position with a variety of duties that differ from day to day. Some, but not all, duties are listed below:
- Ability to interact with customers professionally & courteously
- Load Customers vehicles/trailers with material
- Unload materials and equipment
- General clean-up and maintenance of shop, yard & east yard (mowing lawn, weedwacking, putting away pipe and fittings, cleaning under scale, cleaning shop office & restroom, sweeping asphalt, etc.)
- Ability to assist on projects as needed or to haul materials to/from a jobsite.

- Must have a CDL A with the minimum of 3 years of experience driving truck preferably in an excavation / logging setting
- Must have a clean driving record.
- This position could include but is not limited to tandem axle trucks, triaxle trucks, lads, lowboys, and tankers

- Experience with loading yourself with a loader is preferred.

- Applicant must have eye for detail and have the ability to do quality finish work. Applicant must be a team leader, have good attendance, a valid driver's license, and be comfortable towing a trailer.
- Applicant must have experience operating skid-steers, mini excavators, tractors, and implements (seeders, augers, gills, tillers, etc).
- Applicant must also be proficient in building rock and block retaining walls and laying edging and pavers.
- Chauffeurs license is required - CDL B or A is preferred.
